A Night at the Opera will feature familiar arias, duets, choruses and overtures from much beloved operas such as Bizet's Carmen, Mozart's The Magic Flute and The Marriage of Figaro, Puccini's Madama Butterfly, Verdi's La Traviata and Wagner's Lohengrin. The soloists include singers with international careers: Metropolitan Opera tenor Edward Cook, mezzo soprano Kathryn Weld, who performed throughout  Europe and Asia, as well as local operatic star soprano Diane Johnson, Head of the Music Department at Skagit Valley College, and our special guest, her mentor and former voice teacher, soprano Gwendolyn Lytle. They will be supported by the combined talents of the Skagit Opera Chorus and members of the Skagit Valley College Choir.
