Cliff Watson, bass-baritone, performs in opera, musical theatre, puppet theatre, concerts and recitals. Cliff’s most recent performance was this past December as Papageno in Bellevue Opera's Magic Flute. Cliff has been seen recently as Sgt. Patrick in Sacagawea (Village Theatre); Sarastro in Magic Flute (Lake Chelan Bach Fest); in Side by Side by Sondheim, and as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh in Anything Goes with Second Story Rep; performing jazz standards and commercials in an old time radio show with Seattle’s Pontiac Bay Symphony Orchestra; Don Magnifico with Bellevue Opera in Rossini’s Cinderella; the Sergeant of Police in Seattle G&S’ Pirates of Penzance; and Dwight in John Duffy’s contemporary opera Black Water with Off-Center Opera – where he also stepped in to sing the challenging role of the Senator on 3 hours’ notice, only the 3rd person to ever perform the role. This is Cliff’s third performance with Skagit Opera, where he was previously seen as the Sergeant of Police in Pirates of Penzance and as Dick Deadeye in HMS Pinafore.
