Mezzo soprano Julia
Benzinger has been a featured performer with the Sarasota Opera,
Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme, Yorke Trust, Opera Pacifica,
Bellevue Opera, Concert Opera of Seattle, Maud Powell Festival, Seattle
Opera Guild, Rome Festival, Rainier Symphony, Seattle Symphony Chorale and
Manchester Camerata. She
graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music with an emphasis in
opera and classical voice. While
studying, Julia performed the roles of the Granny, Giant and Mother (Into
the Woods), Mama Madelena (Nine)
and Mere Marie (Dialogues of the
Carmelites) and covered the role of Sextus in Julius
Caesar. Other roles
include Hänsel (Hänsel und
Gretel), Dritte Dame (Die
Zauberflöte), Dryad (Ariadne
