Jessica Robins Milanese, lyric coloratura soprano, debuted with
Skagit Opera
as Papagena in their production of The Magic Flute.
Since then,
Jessica has performed the roles of Héro (Béatrice et Bénédict),
Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Lucy (The Telephone),
Norina (Don Pasquale), Zerlina (Don Giovanni) and Barbarina
(Le Nozze di Figaro). As a young artist with Seattle Opera, Jessica
performed the role of Pamina in their adaptation of The Magic Flute
and returned as a guest artist the following season to sing the role of
Barbarina in their Young Artist’s production of Le Nozze di Figaro.
Other recent roles include Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro),
Marie (Daughter of the Regiment, Gretel (Hansel and Gretel)
and as a preview artist with the Seattle Opera Guild,
Olympia
(Les Contes d’ Hoffmann) and Nanetta (Falstaff).
On the concert stage, Jessica has performed as a soloist with the
Bremerton Symphony, Orchestra Seattle, Northwest Sinfonietta, the Yakima
Symphony and the Olympia Chamber Orchestra where she recently sang the
role of Gabriel in Haydn’s The Creation and Lieschen in J.S.
Bach’s Coffee Cantata. She
will be singing her
first St.
Matthew Passion with Orchestra Seattle in April 2007.
Jessica grew up in
Missoula

, received her Bachelor of Music from the
University

Colorado

and has studied with William Eddy of
Tacoma

Washington
for the past nine years.
