Mieke Rickert, Soprano from Shoreline, WA received her bachelor of Music in Opera Performance from the University of British Columbia in 2003.  This past summer Mieke performed the role of Giulietta in The Tales of Hoffman with Opera NUOVA in Edmonton , Alberta . The previous winter she sang Pamina in The Magic Flute with N.O.I.S.E.. Mieke has also sung the soprano solos in Handel’s Messiah and Hayden’s Creation with Opera Pacifica. Other roles include The Spirit in Dido and Aneas, Abigail Williams in The Crucible, Chocholka in The Cunning Little Vixen, Sylviane in The Merry Widow, Isabelle and Madeline in The Face on The Barroom Floor, and Betty Blake in The Will Rogers Follies.  She also performed in the chorus and covered the role of Micaelea for Skagit Opera 's production of Carmen. She was a winner of the Fall 2006 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions for the Washington/Alaska District.

Ms. Rickert is excited to be a part of this production, and thrilled to work in the company of such wonderful musicians and performers.  Mieke is a Student of Mr. Erich Parce.
