Featuring
the Modine String Quartet in Debussy's lovely Quartet, and baritone
Richard Riddell in poignant Don Quixote arias by Ibert and Ravel. Mr. Riddell,
well-known by local audiences, sang many roles in European opera houses
before settling with his family in the Skagit Valley. The Modine Quartet
consists of Sharyn Peterson and Victoria Parker, violins, Rachel McGuire,
viola, and Matthew Rehfeldt, cello, all of whom have been featured
soloists with the Starry Night Chamber Series.

of Brahms

various members of the Starry Night Chamber Ensemble in Bach's Brandenburg
Concerti #2 and #6, and the Sextet in Bb Major by Johannes Brahms. The
articulate, jovial Baroque style of the first half will contrast
pleasantly with the sinuous legato lines of the Brahms masterpiece, which
embodies the essence of Romantic music!
